Press Release Body = Mumbai July 16, 2007: The Vimal Master Craftsmen Forum comes back with a new round of activity as part of its charter. The Forum was formed on April 13th, 2007 by Reliance Industries Limited - Textile Division with the primary objective of introducing the 'Fashion Forward' movement in the Indian men's formal fashion market.
It was conceptualized as an elite membership of the top suit craftsmen of India who are the opinion leaders of high-end international formal fashion in the Indian men's wear market, and who would be skilled in the art of crafting fashionable Italian suits and jackets.
The purpose of this Forum is not just to usher in the new movements, thinking and trends of global men's formal fashion; but also to expose Indian suit craftsmen to the challenges and complexities of the global formal fashion scenario. Thus, propagating the 'Fashion Forward' movement in the Indian men's formal fashion scene.
This Forum was formed after three rounds of rigorous training sessions of the top Indian suits craftsmen by one of the top Italian suit designers, Mr. Maurizio Bonas - under the aegis of Vimal, the fabric brand of Reliance Industries Limited - Textile Division. These training sessions were conducted in four centres - Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore through a unique interface - the Vimal Masters Assemblage. The Indian suit craftsmen who attended this training became the honorary founder members of the Forum.
Mr. Maurizio Bonas, the top Italian suit designer will share the upcoming trends from Milan on Colors, Fabrics, Silhouettes, Styling for Men's Wear, etc. He will also introduce an absolutely new concept in men's formal fashion wear - the SHIRT JACKET - a concept that is appropriate for the Indian climate.
In all, with these two masters in Italian fashion, the Vimal Master Craftsmen Forum is all set to blaze a new path in the Indian men's formal fashion scene. This interaction is all the more unique, due to its emphasis on the practical aspect of suit-making - a truly first-time event in India.
